Nominations can be submitted now!

For several years, the IADC Safety Award was granted to safety innovations made for the dredging industry. IADC today announces that as of 2020, two safety awards will be given: one to a dredging organisation and a second will be granted to a supply chain organisation active in the dredging industry. This concerns subcontractors and suppliers of goods and services. As of today, nominations for both awards can be submitted.

As IADC we realise that suppliers of dredging contractors play an important role in increasing safety by offering innovative solutions with the help of the latest technical developments”, says René Kolman, Secretary General at IADC.

Launched in 2015, the IADC Safety Award is intended to encourage the development of safety skills on the job, rewarding people and companies demonstrating diligence in safety awareness in the performance of their profession. The Safety Award is relevant for all dredging contractors, subcontractors and suppliers of goods and services active in the dredging industry and recognises the exceptional safety performance of a particular project, product, ship, team or employees. The Award is not only open to IADC members but also to any other companies active in the dredging industry.

Dredging operations are risky. It maintains a level of safety that can compete with the offshore oil & gas sectors. The dredging industry pays a lot of attention to safety. The IADC and its members are committed to safeguarding their employees, and to pursuing improvements in guaranteeing a safe and healthy work environment.

In September 2020 the IADC Board of Directors will present the winner of the Safety Award 2020 at the IADC Annual General Meeting in Krakow, Poland.
